Welcome to The Wooden Fish

I've been carving decoys, fish and folk art since 1993.
After apprenticing under one of the best woodcarvers, I went solo in 1997.
I specialize in carving decoys and fish that reflect my determination to preserve
this American Folk Art style. Many of my pieces draw from the great woodcarvers'
styles from over the past two centuries. Once I carve a piece, I can either
leave it new, put a patina on the piece, or antique it to make the object look very
worn.
Everything that I carve is a unique creation; I have no
duplicating machines or standard blanks. Since everything is from scatch,
I am not limited to carving just the items that are displayed in the Gallery -- those are just examples of my work. I can carve just about anything, just
tell me what you would like, or better yet, send a picture.
